Knife Crime HOPE WORKSHOP
We will work with Christians on the front line who understand the challenges and opportunities to impact young people. The situation is urgent and we want to look together at how we can best collaborate and pray to support the city’s young people.
Time & Location
22 May 2025, 10:00 – 11:30
Birmingham City Church, Parade, Birmingham B1 3QQ, UK
Details
The Hope workshop is asking - 'how can we work more effectively as the church in Birmingham to address knife crime and see a real shift in our city?' Knife crime blights our city but is a symptom of a deeper fear and anxiety in our young people. Yet there is hope with a growing engagement with the gospel. This is an urgent issue for the church across the city - this workshop aims to move us forward.
We will have input from Nathan Denis, Errol Lawson and Gus Stewart who work closely with families impacted by knife crime and with schools and Jay Smith seeing a huge response to the gospel in the under 25's.
We have three key areas of focus
Birmingham - what is working, what is our vision for the future, what support is needed?
