Uniting as One Church: Join the Citywide Celebration at MZCC
On Sunday 19th October 2025, from 6pm for 6:30pm, we will gather at Mount Zion Community Church (MZCC) for our annual citywide church celebration.
I want to warmly and strongly urge you to make this a priority — both by attending yourself and by mobilising your church family to join us as together we celebrate the unity and ministry of the body of Christ across our city.
As you know, Time4Brum began as Time for Change. Since that powerful gathering at the Birmingham City Football Ground, we have continued to meet annually during Black History Month, keeping alive the prayer of Jesus: “that they may be one” (John 17:21).
Though we represent many denominations, networks, and streams, we are one Church in Birmingham — the body of Christ. It is vital that at least once each year we stand together as Black, White, Asian, and multicultural churches, publicly affirming our unity in Him.
During the early Time for Change discussions, we drafted and signed the Church Unity Charter, committing ourselves to stand as one and to resist all forms of racism and division. It is absolutely crucial that we remain faithful to this commitment and continue to demonstrate unity within the body of Christ.
Since then, under Time4Brum, we have gathered for citywide Church Summits and Youth Summits, which have birthed lasting partnerships among pastors, leaders, and churches. Praise God for the fruit that has already come forth.
This October, I am also asking every church to bring an offering to support the ongoing work of Time4Brum. Your generous giving made the Birmingham City Ground event possible, and we are deeply grateful.
However, to keep planning, hosting, and sustaining these citywide expressions of unity, we need the continued commitment of our churches. (Please find the bank details below.)
Together, let us keep building on what God has begun in our city — a united Church that bears witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
May the Lord richly bless you and the work of your ministry across Birmingham.
With warm regards in Christ,
Pastor Calvin Young
